The Necessities of Life

There are moments in our lives that change who we are as humans. We begin to think differently, act differently, and speak differently. We are growing each and everyday. The person you were yesterday no longer exists because the person you are today has taken over. Each and every single day is brand new, and it is a new chance to start over. We, as a society, hold up people to new standards and love putting those people down for the mistakes they make. The reality is that every single one of us makes mistakes, and it is how we handle those mistakes that helps us to grow and learn from them. Whatever happened yesterday is now a memory and is in the past. Tomorrow is a brand new day, and we must remember to make the most of it. One day, we will not wake up to a new tomorrow. Our time on Earth will be complete, and we will look back on the wonderful lives we lived. Live with no regrets, but live accordingly to the righteous path. We ask ourselves numerous questions everyday, but we do not hold the answers. We live in a world where tragedies seem to outscore victories, but that makes everything appear much more complicated. The people we love are taken from us so soon, and yet we begin to blame everything on ourselves for the things we could have done differently. God has a plan for each and every one of us. We go through inevitable epidemics that change our lives greatly, and we get scars from these epidemics that haunt us for the rest of our lives. My experiences have changed me in ways I do not think I will ever be the same, and that very idea is scary. I look back on the past eight years I have lived, and I realize how my life will never be the same. I hold in the tears, puff out my chest, and let everyone around me know that everything is going to be okay. Being in love does crazy things to a person. You stop eating, you stop breathing, and the world stops turning, just for one person. It seems ridiculous, because only things like this are found in fairy tales.  We live our lives  to the fullest potential, so that way we can experience life in the greatest of ways before we die. We need love to survive, to reproduce tiny humans in the likeness of ourselves. We date, we fall in love, and sometimes this romance will go away. Our hearts love others the same way our hearts break from the this love. Falling in love is a simple thing to do. We can fall in love with as many people as necessary, and then our hearts will break and shatter on the ground. While we try to mend these broken hearts, we try to pick up the pieces, one by one, until our hearts are full again. Sometimes, it takes much longer to fix our broken hearts than we thought. Eventually, someone will come around and hold our hearts tight again, until we no longer feel pain...

In absolute certainty, I want you. The way you look into my eyes, The way you laugh at my corny jokes,  The way you look at me with your crystal clear eyes, even when you don't think I can see, The way you blush when the sound of my name is said out loud, The way you laugh at my clumsiness, no matter how truly embarrassed I am, The way you smile hearing my random, witty thoughts, The way you respect my values and keep me safe in your arms, All of this, in just one small year of knowing you. I have accepted your flaws, your mistakes, the horrendous endeavors you partake in, Only to have found myself helplessly falling for you. These feelings of butterflies floating around graciously in my stomach, whenever your face appears on my radar. I cannot help but one day finding this love again, This pure, emotional love, stronger than any other feeling in the world, only to find it with someone else.

Life is an exploration. We are continuously discovering new ideas, embracing our true colors, and loving one another unconditionally. We hold the key to our own happiness. Life is not something that should be taken for granted, but instead a gift we must treasure. There are many moments in this life in which we have the power to choose good over evil, and to embrace every single glorious moment this life has to offer. We are simply the rulers of this life, the kings and queens of ourselves. In the darkest of times, we turn to each other for light and for peace. We should not lose sight of those who are most important to us, especially when the world begins to turn dark and cold. We rely on each other for help, because with ourselves, we can conquer almost any obstacle thrown our way. Life is all about love, and with love we can embrace all things. With that, this life we all are currently living is truly as pure as gold. 

Instead of rushing for the clock to strike midnight, let us take this time to reflect on the past 365 days. Another year, another time for change. The end of the year is a very bittersweet time. For many of us, this past year was the greatest year of our lives. For others, it was an annoyance, and a true epidemic. Each year is the beginning of something new to come, whether that is a new home, a new job, a new school, or someone new to spend your days with. Each year is the beginning of a new adventure. We make resolutions, new goals, so that way we can better ourselves to be true people, living without fear of the future. We have the power to be whoever we want to be, and we have the power to love whoever our hearts desire. This next year, 2018, let's make more mistakes, be adventurous, fall in love, and live our lives to no regrets. The memories, the laughter, the tears, all of this will soon become a distinct memory as we await the strike of midnight on this cold, December night...

Do you ever just wish that you could fall out of love with someone? You cannot stop thinking about them, nor do you ever find yourself not talking about them. You fell hard and fast for this person, and nothing can change how you feel. This journey with him continues down a long path. Why is it that it is so easy to fall into love, rather than to fall out of love? Love can be extremely toxic, but the adventure is breathtaking.
